Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and GetPortfolio (“GetPortfolio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and govern your access to and use of getportfolio.cloud, our applications, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@getportfolio.cloud if you suspect unauthorized use.

2. Your content

The Service lets you build and publish a personal portfolio. Everything you add — your profile, biography, work experience, education, projects, images, links, résumé, and any other material (“User Content”) — is provided entirely by you. You retain all ownership of your User Content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your User Content solely to operate and provide the Service (for example, serving your public portfolio at getportfolio.cloud/your-username).

You represent and warrant that, for all User Content, you:

• own it or have all rights, licenses, and permissions needed to publish it;
• will not post anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or that violates the privacy or intellectual-property rights of others;
• are solely responsible for its accuracy, legality, and consequences of publishing it.

3. Responsibility and disclaimer for User Content

You are solely responsible for the content you publish through the Service, and GetPortfolio is not liable for it. We do not create, endorse, verify, or control User Content, and we do not pre-screen it. Any statements, claims, credentials, or materials shown on a portfolio are those of the user who published them and not of GetPortfolio.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GetPortfolio disclaims all liability arising from or relating to User Content, including any loss, damage, dispute, or claim resulting from content that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, infringing, or otherwise objectionable. If you rely on content published by another user, you do so at your own risk. Nothing on a user portfolio constitutes advice or a representation by GetPortfolio.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation, identity, or qualifications;
• upload malware, or attempt to probe, scan, or breach the security of the Service;
• scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service, or circumvent any access or rate limits; or
• post spam, phishing, or content that is hateful, harassing, or sexually exploitative.

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.

5. Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its software, design, and trademarks — is owned by GetPortfolio and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our branding except as needed to use the Service normally. Your User Content remains yours.

6. Third-party services and links

Portfolios and the Service may contain links to third-party sites and rely on third-party providers (for example, hosting and infrastructure). We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or practices. See our Privacy Policy and data-storage policy for more.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GetPortfolio and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any User Content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GetPortfolio from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content responsibility, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
